State ECU Nabs Spot on Forbes’ List of America’s Best Credit Unions for a Second Year
State ECU cited among top 3% of credit unions in the country
State ECU has once again been recognized as one of Forbes’ Best Credit Unions in the country. For a second year, State ECU has made the list for its dedication to helping its members make sound financial decisions, raising the bar on members’ financial literacy, and offering products and services to make members’ financial lives easier. And all while putting members’ interests at the center of its business model.
This is really quite an accomplishment. There are 5,800 credit unions in the country and only 182 of them made it onto this list. Let that sink in a little—State ECU is among the top 3% of credit unions in the country, according to the results of this survey. Furthermore, just four credit unions (and two banks) were selected as the most satisfactory financial institutions in the state of New Mexico. And in New Mexico there are 142 credit unions. Pretty nifty, right?
“We think this is a great honor and especially meaningful since the survey went out in an unsolicited manner,” says Harold Dixon, CEO, State ECU. More than 25,000 banking and credit union customers across the country participated in the second annual Forbes’ survey—ranking financial institutions for overall satisfaction: and specifically on several variables including trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, and financial advice.
“I think it is revealing to note that overall credit unions scored higher (4.5 on the survey scale) in relation to banks (4.2). As we all know, credit unions are the better financial choice—and put members’ interests at the heart of banking,” comments Dixon.
